Design

Studio Andrés Nilson is a Swedish design studio that works in the areas of product, industrial and interior design.

Pure and clean lines characterize his design, he always strives to find the identity or the soul of the object, tell a story or solve a problem. His process is very plastic, he loves to try new ways of getting forward in the design process. It could be an industrial process, a kind of craft technique or a simple everyday moment he wants to capture and share.

He always strives to create beautiful harmonic objects which attach the emotional sense of mind and fit with the proposed environment.

Biography

Andrés was born in Medellin Colombia. He grew up in the old university and culture town Lund, in the south of Sweden.

After a professional badminton career, with over 70 international tournaments played around the world, Andrés stepped into the world of craft and got trained as a cabinetmaker.

He moved along studying design at HDK-Steneby, School of Design and crafts at the University of Gothenburg and continued to Malmstens at the University of Linkoping. He also have studied Industrial Design at Istituto Europeo di Design in Milan.
